Uno de los grandes desconocidos del mantenimiento de nuestro coche, o seguramente olvidado a propósito, es el lavado del motor. Quizá por que no se ve, quizá porque no lo consideramos importante, quizá porque podemos pensar que es caro, lo cierto es que son muy pocas las personas que se preocupan del lavado del motor, si es que no va incluido en un servicio integral de lavado del vehículo como el que nosotros ofertamos.

Normalmente solo lavan el motor los amantes del coche, los que lo disfrutan y no lo ven como un utensilio más, sino casi como un miembro más de la familia, los coleccionistas, los que tienen clásicos que exhiben con orgullo en concursos, certámenes, museos y exposiciones, los que gastan el tiempo y el dinero en perfeccionarlo, en customizarlo, en instalárle el último gátchet… y por último, puntualmente, cuando queremos vender nuestro coche, para sacarle más valor.

Pero no debería ser así. La limpieza del motor es fundamental porque previene futuros problemas como consecuencia de la acumulación de porquería, obstrucciones y de corrosión que acaban en averías.

Al limpiar el aceite que va impregnando los manguitos o gomas del motor, evitamos que con el paso del tiempo, este aceite los degraden produciendo grietas y fugas, o que el aceite caiga en el alternador y que a la larga provoquen una avería más costosa y que con un pequeño programa de limpieza, como el que proponemos, se podría evitar.

Con el lavado del motor también se detectan las fugas donde se produce la perdida de aceite y así poder ponerle remedio antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

A veces, incluso el agua a presión revela zonas donde el manguito hubiera podido ceder durante alguno de los trayectos que realizamos, con el consiguiente trastorno. Es mucho mejor localizar el punto de ruptura antes de que se produzca y cambiar el manguito.
